Many thanks to all of the 2009 CROP Walkers and their sponsors. As of Oct 8th, 2009, Over $24,000 has been collected so far and more has been pledged in the fight against hunger.

The CROP Walk ( Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty ) is a unique response to the needs of poor and hungry people in our communities and around the world … and the spirit of cooperation that results when people of all faiths join together is both inspiring and invaluable. Empty Stocking Fund

The Empty Stocking Fund is a joint project of Cooperative Christian Ministry and The YMCA. Funds raised through this holiday program are used to purchase Christmas toys for children whose stockings would otherwise be empty and to provide heating assistance for families throughout the winter.

Many thanks to all of the dedicated motorcycle riders who rode in the Arzie Rogers Memorial 7th annual Toy Run benefiting the Empty Stocking Fund. The weather was dreary and rainy - but everyone who participated will bring a ray of sunshine to the children receiving the gifts on Christmas morning.

Sponsored by Pat Rogers Speedway Harley-Davidson, the Annual Toy Runs supports Empty Stocking Fund. Organized by CCM, Cannon YMCA, and the Independent Tribune, Empty Stocking Fund provides heating assistance, new toys, and a family adoption program during the holiday season. Organized by Speedway HOG (Harley Owners Group), bikers ride in the Toy Run to provide new toys for children and financial support for programs that support struggling families in our community.
