Financial Contributions

Your contributions work together to support the three ministry areas:

  • FOOD (food pantries, soup kitchen, mobile food pantries, Samaritan’s Table)
  • FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE & CASE MANAGEMENT (rent, utilities/fuel, medications)
  • SHELTER (overnight shelter, My Father’s House, Mother’s and Children’s Home, and Teaching Houses)

Your donations are appreciated and are tax deductible as allowed by the IRS.

"Neighbor Helping Neighbor" Program

The City of Concord is offering an easy way for you to participate in a program called Neighbor Helping Neighbor. Donations can be made in three ways: rounding up your monthly bill to the nearest dollar amount; a one-time donation; or by setting a monthly donation amount. Your contribution is tax-deductible and will be forwarded to CCM to assist our neighbors, family and friends who are experiencing, for the first time, the effects of layoffs, downsizing, lower income even foreclosure and repossession of their belongings.

It’s easy to sign up. Click here to go to the City’s website and find out how you can help!

Select Independent Tribune Newspaper Article for information on how the program helped in 2010.

Release Consent Form

When a person applies at CCM for assistance, CCM records information about the applicant. Since this information may be shared with other organizations and service providers within our community, every applicant must sign a release consent form so CCM is able to coordinate services and resources with, but is not limited to, Cabarrus and Rowan Depts. of Social Services, the Salvation Army, Community Free Clinic, and area churches.

By law when an applicant contacts a church or other organization for help, and that church or organization calls CCM for verification of applicant's situation, a valid signed Release Consent form must be on file or faxed to CCM before CCM can share applicant's information with that church or organization.

Also if a church or organization is sending an applicant to CCM for help, a Release Consent form needs to be signed and faxed to CCM.

To display a printable Release Consent form, select Release Consent Form and then use your browser's print function to print the form.

CCM's phone and fax numbers are:

Phone: (704)786-4709
Fax: (704)785-8071

Samaritan House Night Shelter

The NightShelterVolunteeringGuide.doc file is a brochure for churches to personalize and use for Samaritan House Night Shelter volunteers. The layout of the information is designed to be printed on both sides of a sheet of paper.

Objective is for the churches to save this ( NightShelterVolunteeringGuide.doc ) DOC file on their system and then use their word processor to personalize the saved file. You can personalize the brochure information by filling in the name of the church and the coordinator's name. After saving the modifications, print the brochure, and hand it out to potential volunteers.

If you want to use the brochure as is (with no modifications) then view/print this Night Shelter Volunteering Guide PDF file. For additional reminder information from Shirley Harkey, view this Night Shelter Volunteering Notes PDF file.
