Generosity Needs

CCM continues to operate only through the generosity of its supporters.

  • Volunteers -- People are needed in each of our programs. For information please call CCM's volunteer coordinator at (704)706-9052.
     
  • Financial -- CCM is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Your financial support is crucial to CCM being able to assist families in crisis.
     
  • InKind -- Donations of food and household items may be brought to the Crisis Center at 246 Country Club Drive, Concord (just behind Carolina Mall and across the street from the SportsCenter).

Earn Extra Money for CCM

Whenever you shop at Food Lion with your MVP card, you can earn money for CCM! What an easy way to help! Also, remember as you are shopping to pick up a few extra cans of corn, green beans and peas and bring them to any of our Food Pantries.

CCM Food Pantry Needs

Listed below are the needs for the Cooperative Christian Ministry food pantries in Concord, Bethel Baptist Church in Kannapolis, inside the Department of Social Services building, Kannapolis Food Pantry at West Point Baptist Church, Westford United Methodist Church, Blackwelder Park Baptist Church in North Kannapolis, Charity Baptist Food Pantry, Christian Hearts Food Ministry at Oak Ridge Baptist, and Pine Bluff United Methodist Church in Midland for the upcoming month as of February 22, 2012:

  • One pound bags of rice
  • One pound boxes of dry spaghetti
  • Saltine Crackers
  • Sweet Peas
  • Corn
  • Canned Tomatoes and Mixed Vegetables
  • Canned Meat
  • Canned Fruit
  • Paper Towels

As you can imagine, due to the economy, our demand has greatly increased in the last several months. The food donations from our community this year, led by the churches, also have been at record levels. We appreciate any donation of food, paper products or health and beauty supplies.

Food Donation Locations

  1. Our Crisis Center, located at 246 Country Club Dr., Concord serves as the warehouse for most of the food. We gladly accept all donations at the Crisis Center site from:

    • 9 am to 4 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
    • 9 am to 1 pm on Wednesday

     
  2. Bethel Baptist Helping Hands Food Pantry at Bethel Baptist Church, 1209 1/4 Opal Street in Kannapolis, accepts donations from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday and Thursday.
     
  3. Blackwelder Park Baptist Food Pantry at Blackwelder Park Baptist Church, 2204 Summit Ave., Kannapolis, accepts donations from 9:00 am to noon on Wednesday and Thursday.
     
  4. The food pantries at the following locations accept donations on Saturday mornings from 8:30 am to 11:30 am.

    • Cupboard of Love Food Pantry at Westford United Methodist Church, 273 Highway 49 South, Concord
    • Kannapolis Food Pantry at West Point Baptist Church, 1100 Pine St., Kannapolis
    • Christian Hearts Food Ministry at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 5340 Flowes Store Rd., Concord

     
  5. The TB2G Food Pantry (at Pine Bluff UMC, 11000 Reed Mine Rd., Midland) and Charity Baptist Food Pantry (at 2420 Brantley Rd., Kannapolis) accept donations by calling the church in advance.

New Van

"There's a new van in town!"
Look for us as we're picking up our donations and delivering food to our satellite pantries.


 

Oiles America Corp donation Employees from Oiles America Corporation presented CCM with a donation of $1,000 for our food ministry. Julie Adams, HR for Oiles, delivered the donation to Ed Hosack at the Crisis Center. The company and employees held raffles and collected financial donations to raise the funds.
